First of all you may be thinking who are the Court Yard Hounds? Well they are Martie Maguire & Emily Robison (sisters) and 2 members of the Dixie Chicks (Natalie Maines is the 3rd member of the Dixie Chicks) Yes the Dixie Chicks are still a group, Natalie just is not ready to record and write again yet. But Emily and Martie are and so thats why the Court Yard Hounds were formed.

I forgot to mention in the video this was a song that Cati (dixiechicksgirl21) requested me to do...which I have been meaning to do a Court Yard Hounds song for a while now, but never got the chance, so now here it is! I hope you guys like it! And CYH has been doing a series of web chats and the next one will not be until January, but they are pretty cool to be able to ask them questions and hear them play some songs that may or may not have been released. The first 3 videos are archived on their website http://www.courtyardhounds.com So check those out and post a comment on their website or their Facebook page or Twitter and they might answer it in the next chat :)

There's me promoting the Court Yard Hounds... but how can I not? I look up to them a lot and I hope to write with them one day (and Natalie too). Love them! And only wish the best of this group for them and I think they are doing a mighty fine job with it! maybe this will get their attention! ;)

@Therealmensa she isn't history...I don't know where you got your facts from? CYH said it their selves they are still with the Chicks...and Natalie has written songs...read the liner notes of any of their albums (with exception to their first album) and check ASCAP...I'm sure they beg to differ whether she's written songs or not. In fact she co-wrote EVERY song on Taking the Long Way their most recent album...so u might want to check your sources ... O an thanks for watchin :)
