Genesis - It - Lamb Live at the Shrine, 1975

This very rare 8mm footage of Genesis concert highlights from the famed Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour is now available to ALL as a bonus DVD extra with The Lamb Live at the Shrine 2-CD/DVD 3-disc box set.

The footage was filmed at Festhalle Bern, Switzerland on March 29, 1975 and runs approximately 24 minutes.

The 8mm video footage that I am using here to showcase the 1975 Shrine Auditorium audio is allegedly from a concert Genesis did in Bern, Switzerland in 1975. The original audio that accompanies this video footage is an excellent sounding audience recording.

I wrote in the video description that the video is from Bern, Switzerland 1975 but the audio is from the Shrine. I have the whole Shrine concert uncut and without the overdubs on a 2-CD audio set.

This gig in Bern was completely new to me, and I work there! It's so great to see this video, I'd given up hope of seeing these songs performed by Gabriel with the band. What a performer, what a voice. What a band! Thanks TommyGun.

@remnrone I think the thing with the Lamb is that the basic "moral" of the story is very simple: Rael leads a life totally about himself and then faces a moment when he has the choice to put someone else before himself and he chooses to do so. The colourful details of the story, his encounters with predatory woman (The Lamia) etc are all in their own way comments on Gabriel's music industry experiences (Grand Parade) but the basic point is a very simple and traditional one.

"It" can be interpreted as virtually anything and everything. I have, however, been working on a theory waaaay to complex to describe here, and should we trust me, "it" is Rael's genitalia, but also John. The genitalia bit matches well with the line "It is chicken, It is eggs, It is inbetween your legs", along with several more obscure references. The John part we have to jump back a few songs to explain, but that would take me at least an hour.

I encourage you to find your own interpretation.
