This low profile twin thermoacoustic or lamina engine brings to mind the Bofors 40mm anti aircraft gun. Details are 15X150 Pyrex resonate tubes with stainless pot scruber packing (stack) material. 20mm pistons and corrosponding Pyrex cylinders. Runs 50-60 minutes on near 2oz.. of rubbing alcohol and peaks around 600 rpm with 1/16in. wicking. These heat engines lend themselves to "hot rodding" by changing and combining different volume and sizes of their components as witnessed by other videos on the "TUBE". Resonate tubes, choke diameters, flywheel mass, stroke length, piston bore, stack material and heat imput may change the characteristic and ultimate rpm achieved. May you build a 2000rpm machine!
