Sonic 3 & Knuckles 01 - Best Sonic Game Ever?

Recording, gameplay and commentary done by me.

It's time for Sonic to continue his adventure in possibly the greatest game in Sonic's lifetime. Taking place on one island that was once floating in the air, but some circumstances have made the island land itself within Sonic's world. Furthermore, Robotnik's back yet again and he's apparently recruited the help of an echinda named Knuckles AND the Chaos Emeralds have been stolen from Sonic right before his very eyes!

This game is the COMPLETE version of Sonic 3. Sonic 3 was originally meant to be a very long adventure, judging from the inclusion of the save features, but due to time constraints, the game was released into two parts. For better or worse, this is what happens when you combine Sonic 3 with the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge. You not only get the craziest looking cartridge game, but you get arguably the best Sonic experience out there.

Now, onto the first Zone. Angel Island Zone is possibly one of the best ways to begin a Sonic game, it has a cool introduction and you meet Knuckles for the first and NOT final time. Not to mention, you have great music and easy difficulty to go along for the ride. Of course, this zone also demonstrates the changes that happen during acts at times and the wonderful fanfare and act transitions, and introduces the formula of each zone where there is always a mid-boss to take on. Sonic 3 is also notorious for being nearly void of death pits.

ahh Sonic 3 and Knuckles. A great sonic game, and a game with kick butt music, a quality that most sonic games have.

I haven't been playing the more modern sonic games.. The last sonic game i played was Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, the last game, in my opinion, that was really any good. Sonic Generations was okay.. But way too short I think.

Sonic 2 is much more,polished than sonic 3 and knuckles. The hydrocity zone and the lava zone have some of the most hideous and master systemeque graphics in the series. Only intermittently impressive. Sonic 2 the best overall game in the series. Sonic 3 was the easiest and least pretty of the series

While I believe that Sonic 3 and Knuckles is the most well made Sonic game, my favorite is still Sonic 2. Great LP so far.
