Palin's appeal to the average American voter should NOT be under-estimated. Most American voters + non voters alike, are either uninformed or mis-informed when it comes to their own interests, let alone foreign policy issues. Most people make their choices based on emotional appeals alone, with logic or reason playing a very minor role. Last minute appeals to the emotions are thus extremely effective as campaign strategies. All politicians employ lies and obfuscation, it is a pre-requisite of sorts. But some lies turn out be bigger than others. The McCain/Palin ticket is NOT good for the people or the world. Our other choices are not much better, but this ticket MUST defeated. Palin is pro-corporate on the domestic front, ALL THE WAY. Her religious views, for 22 years, are extreme and completely nuts. She NOT pro-average American. She lives in a mansion, tax free, while spouting off 'anti- elite' sentiments, when it is politically convenient for her. She does not believe in science (only when it comes to oil), and she believes the earth is 6000 years old. Do you want this woman to have the nuclear launch codes someday? Bringing about Armageddon, which her religion FAVORS?
Our present economic circumstances are the PERFECT breeding ground for fascism.

  • wow, 2 pre-chosen puppets for the sheeple to choose from.

why even vote,. system is a joke.

  • Palin is a vacuous used car salesman...her comments have no substance and your average person can give those sort of answers and lets face it for a vice president you need someone that has a good understanding of politics...something she has no concept of.

  • Great video.

  • All the Repyublicans got now is to attack Obama's character, since they have no real plans for this country except Bushe's blueprints of more of the same. Expect more attacks on Obama's character.

Educated people will look at what the candidates have to offer. Healthcare, how to fix the economy and how to lead this country. Obama has it. McCain is just like Bush. Obama offers detailed plans, McCain offers scare tactics and generalizations. That is the truth.

  • I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their CHARACTER. I have a dream today.Dr. Martin Luther King Washington, D.C. 1964

Character is THE PRINCIPLE ISSUE - in this and every election. And it has always been the missing ingredient in every human failure.

  • Madam, Im sorry you were so traumatized by the experience of watching this debate.

Gov. Sarah Palin represents many of my values, opinions, and we share a similar world-view. I think and speak for myself - others for themselves.

It is also sad to hear, through words revealing a sense of elitism, your disdain for the "poor gullible unwashed masses". You might consider the shoe may actually be on the other foot you potentially suffer a blindness brought on by such haughtiness. Just a thought

  • I am Canadian.

We have our own neo-con election happening.

And I will be voting against them.

  • Nothing is going to change, for the better at least, until the common folk revolt. Since this isn't likely to happen, ever, we the people are just cannon fodder.

  • Obama and Palin are the same... different views, both elites disgusing as average joes...

    neither should run the country...

  • she kept saying NU-CU-LAR! just like bush!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! LOL

  • She definitely stutterd and stumbled throughout the debate, though she handled herself much better than I expected. People will be taken by her attitude. People will relate to her underdog status. People are being blinded by emotion and not making a critical infomred decision about her. Its pathetic. I got problems with Joe too, hell all of them. This debate is going to get McCain more votes. I'm sure of it.
