@ventilatedzygote First i smelled a certain amount of hate for hate's sake, but this is not what IanCrossland was all about. This is just a guilt trip for dehumanizing purposes. I don't have a problem with being human in the same way that an insect crawls and has no problems with it. I like the scent of perpetual suffering. Human beings always progress when they suffer. There has only been progress throughout suffering.

@ventilatedzygote There are inumerable alternatives, e.g the alternative of reducing sentience to a minimal, but personally i don't really know what kind of purpose that would serve, just in the same way as your mentioned alternative before. The current one has created a constant throughout human history and i don't think that's going to change. Whether we like/dislike it is irrelevant. I have no regard for the masses.

@ventilatedzygote Please don't get me wrong. I was being serious to some extent. I don't really think there needs to be any restraints for civilizations. It's not an obligation. Don't you think it is merely a dystopic alternative? Man only needs to fight for food, thirst and sex. Do you think that somehow the masses will get even more stupid because of that? Mass hysteria here or there. Stupidity is inherent in human nature. Some people are more affected by it and others less.

@ventilatedzygote I agree. Civilizations require most certainly ball-gags, because they need to get their mouths stuffed at least with something. Anything else would be an utopic perversion.

@TheEternalEmperor Okay, "Anger serves no purpose" was an overstatement. In the context of problem solving, it's pretty worthless. Anger is associated with primal conditions because civilization requires restraint and rationality--things that anger blurs. It's better geared toward driving the morale of a footsoldier or the indignation of an undeserving victim

@ventilatedzygote That sounds pretty romanticized. If you don't like entire palette of human emotions, then don't consider yourself to be a human in the first place. However anger is mostly associated with prmal conditions. Why shouldn't we feel anger? Should we rather repress it and then explode later on? That's retarded.
