  • UR SON HAS BEEN CHOSEN

  • laser tag, the batteries would pop out the back when the cover wore out.

  • We had a pair of guns and would run around the house shooting each other. We even had a Photon arena about 45 minutes away. I still have my Photon arena picture ID in a box somewhere. Brings back a lot of good memories.

Since the guns could register hits without the bulky helmet and chest piece, you could just buy them and play the game. But as a kid, you wanted all the crap no matter how heavy and hard to use it was.

  • omg this brings back memories.. i had this and the laser tag rifle and set.. my god i feel like a kid again

  • wait...did he call it a phazer? ...I think that name is trademarked buddy.

  • @EmperorofCartoons Constructionwise I think both were assembled well and were made of quality plastics but Lazer Tag not only won in the coolest design but the least bulky design. In the arena that bulkyness was acceptable but in a home system, it was a curse and alot of us players knew they could have done better. As well many players were not fond of tethered headwear in the home games. Lazer Tag improved on that by having optional headgear..

  • @Nabelnoir Indeed, these guys were fierce rivals back in the day. The Lazer TAG sets, despite looking cooler, had nothing on the much better made Photon sets. My younger cousin was the only guy I knew that had the actual home Photon set, and it was really, really nice.

  • @BanjoOz that is because Worlds of Wonder threatend to sue LJN for false advertising and liable against it's product. Despite all it's claims, nobody I knew ever owned a Photon home set. Everyone wanted the cooler, sleeker and untethered Lazer Tag sets to play in their backyards. Photon ruled in the pay to play centers.

  • Amused to see that this is an 'alternate" version of another ad on here that's very similar... except the "other" laser game (not Photon) is now censored in this version! :D

  • I remember these toy guns because they were so neat.
