  • dirtberry: I'm trying to understand and visualize the humeral transition. Can you tell me what to look for in this video in order to see it? Can you suggest any other videos that I can use to contrast the transition between Marshall mechanics and traditional mechanics? Thanks.

  • @jroback I believe breaking the Humeral transition into three areas explains this well knowing there is even in-between these 1/3 positions also.

    Late humeral transition Traditional injurious

Middle timed humeral transition Marshall with a leg lift. -Potentially injurious but less stress?

Early humeral transition- Full Marshall Crow step mechanics. -Non-injurious.

Many MLB pitchers are now starting to attain a more towards mid-transition I

  • Many MLB pitchers are now starting to arrive earlier and getting closer to where Marshall wants you to outwardly rotate your Humerus.

Notice Matzeks elbow pop up at release of all his pitches; this is very good and telling of mid transitioners.

Watch this 13 yo get into maximum initial acceleration position right at the end of transition in my overload training element called Marshall mechanics heavy ball resistance training

  • It's a sinker and nothing more. Possibly just a two seam fastball. In any regard, the one thing it most certainly ISN'T is Marshall mechanics.

  • Oh yes, this is a fully pronated "tfastball Sinker" that will prevent many elbow problems. Do not confuse this Marshall tenet with all the rest.

  • 100% conventional motion and mechanics here... do not confuse that fact with Marshall's misnomers and untruths. This pitch is a traditional sinker, thrown the same as any other sinker.

  • He scores a 275 on the MTS scale!! Yet you have missed the transition, can you name the differences in the traditional and the Marshall transition?

"do not confuse that fact with Marshall's misnomers and untruths"

You seem to be confused about what was said! Name the misnomers?

Name the untruth? You are making up an argument where none exists?

"This pitch is a traditional sinker",

Yet he was taught the Marshall version, can you name the differences between the two?

  • Lon, this guy is an idiot who has nothing better to do than blast anyone who likes Marshall. He's just mad that his career ended with an injury and he could have stopped it if he knew better. On a funny side note, he challenged me to some sort of contest, and when I called his bluff and told him lets do it, I never heard from him again. If I ever do run into him itll be the end of his mouth running, thats for sure.
