@HailToTheSkunk Actually it was the Bulgarian army led by Tervel that stopped the Arabian invasion in Europe in the 8th century, for which he was given the title Caesar (second in command) by the Roman emperor Justinian II and later got sanctified by the Catholic church as saint Tervelius . It's safe to assume that if he didn't aid Byzantium back then we wouldn't be celebrating Christmas nowadays.

I'm really sick of idiots trashing my country all over the internet.
