This was the scene at 2764 Garvey Cresent in Windsor Ontario this past week.
Throngs of the faithful have been arriving to see the "weeping" Virgin Mary statue which is said to smile during the day and weep oil at night. It has been at this address since July with little fanfare but when a neighbour complained to the city about the structure and traffic the situation escalated.
The story has now gone viral and this usually quiet little street has exploded with people hoping to experience a miracle.
The home owner Fadia Ibrahim has been informed by the city that the structure housing the statue violates city regulation since there was no building permit issued. A solution would be to apply for a minor variance for relief from the zoning bylaw, applying for a building permit and getting an inspection or removing the structure.
But now there is a twist to this story. The statue is gone. Neighbours claim it was loaded into a white van and taken to an undisclosed location. Some speculate it was brought to a church. The strain on the family had become overwhelming and it was time to remove the statue.
This has taken some faithful by surprise when they arrived to see the statue had vanished. Many were disappointed upon seeing the empty enclosure. Few are staying, preferring to abide by signs posted at the residence stating "The statue has been relocated and this structure will be taken down shortly. Please stay off this private property. Visit your church, please."
Money that had been collected to help pay for the bylaw variance will be donated to the London Children's Hospital.
Sources are now saying that the statue has been moved to the St. Charbel Maronite Catholic Church at 1010 Highway 3 at Outer Drive in Oldcastle.
The statue owner, Fadia Ibrahim stated it was the Virgin Mary that asked to be moved. "She told me she wanted people to go back to the church," said Ibrahim. "My house is not a church."
It will be interesting to see if the Catholic Church will now investigate the statue seeing as it is now located in one of their churches. Their stance previously was not to get involved as Ibrahim belongs to an Orthodox Christian Church which disavowed the statue.
what a fraud this woman was. She actually bought this off a website. And to be honest with you. Used to live down the street from her and I seen her refill it one night. Ship her back to her own homeland =D

I have been through this before. The Conyers, Ga. series of apparitions was the most significant spiritual/paranormal event I have ever seen. And the words that were spoken there will explain this statue and related phenomena. I met many priests and also pastors of different faiths that said off the record these are miracles. Those that don't believe are the first to criticize, almost with zeal. That, is evidence of the evil one, the deceiver.

And of course the socialists are in a hurry to take the statue down. Perhaps they should realize by now that people are returning to God and the attempts to destroy these people's faith only encourages the rest of us to pray.
