Daewoo Max II

This is the Daewoo Max II rifle. This is one of the best rifles out there in my opinion. This was adopted around 1982 by the South Korean Armed Forces. I have shot them while there training with the ROK Marines. It has all the best features of the AR15/M16, AK47 and the FN-FAL. I will do a far more detailed review of this rifle with accuracy tests.. This rifle is piston driven...and was so before it was cool. This was an informal video and the wind over powered the camera mic.!

I had a chance to buy one of these rifles one time for a decent price. At the time, I didn't know as much about rifles and didn't have much interest in older or obscure rifles. Looking back on it, I wish I would have bought it...I think it was only $400 because the old guy at the counter didn't know what caliber it was...lol

Beautiful design (in a simplistic sorta way). Any after market 1913 fore end rails for this rifle w/o redneck engineering? That would make a great substitute for an AR if you could modernize it a little. Great video, thanks for sharing something "outside of the box" of 1911's and AR15's.

@imperialfleet1 Yes there are quad rails out there but I like mine stock.  Gun Broker has some too.

How hard would it be to convert this to another chambering? Im happy to see the M16 bolt in it as thay makes things easier, but I was wondering about barrels.
