@thesoulroller I had the same experience. I heard this song only a few times on Casey Kasem's American Top 40 in 1970 and loved it - however, the local station did not play it regularly. It's good to finally hear it again.

this was on the chum chart in toronto. it went to number 1. it was on the chart for 10 weeks. august 1970. great song.

Just heard this song for the first time in my life, and I've been alive since 1965. It was played on Sirius XM Radio's reprise of Casey Kasem's American Top 40 show from this week in 1970 when it peeked at 31. I can't beleive it didn't go any higher, it's a wonderful song.

ive waited 40 years to hear this song . when it came out it was my favorite song , even though i only heard it a few times , and never , ever forgot it . strange though . i remember the general tunes , but it doesnt have the same soulfull sound that ive allways remembered . its great to finally put this old memory at rest , and to hear it as it really was . thanks for posting .
