"... a grand cathedral of sound and emotion -- cold, monumental, stopping in its tracks occasionally to contemplate, before moving onward and deeper... the granite edifice could turn out to be made of thick ice... souls of undead sounds and the world he creates speaks of a bleak and frozen European city scape, gothic architecture and Cold War austerity.... now underwater in some kind of military industrial complex, lights failing to pierce the unfathomable gloom, machinery severally struggling around us as we fight to find our bearings. Depth is undefined but potentially limitless -- our vantage point is suspended in liquid yet straddling a high wire with no ground in sight. Or are we on some H R Giger-designed voyage into a murderous unknown? ...masked protagonists surrounding us as we wait to assess their degree of malevolence.... Then it's the soft fizz of the runout groove and the clunk of the tone arm returning to its cradle, and you're back in the room..."
