The video "Island Girl" was shot in Jamaica february 07 and directed by Michael Freund. The track is a collaboration between Ariup from The Slits and Dubblestandart, the dub reggae band from Vienna taken from the album "Are You Experienced" released in2006.A version(JSTARRMX)of the track as well as the video can be also found on their brand new longplayer "Immigration Dub" released on Collision Records in 2007.

  • That "white lady with the fake dreads" is Ari Up from famous 70s punk band The Slits. The dreads are real. She is as much of a freak as she looks and she lives in Jamaica.

  • I think it's racist to think that white ladys can't sing reggae, sure they can...white people can do whatever theywant, so can blacks, white ladies and men can play the blues too (part from Clapton, I fuckin hate him)
