  • Great job. You do so very many things exactly right. In particular you keep upper body movement to a minimum when playing the pedal solos. You are now ready to learn note grouping. In most music note groups end on the first beat of the bar rather than start there. Look at the phrases in this piece and you will see that construction. Make the music always move toward the downbeat of the next bar, and make the notes within the beat move toward the next beat, as they are pickups to the beat.

  • @augustusturner1855 Thanks for the comment :-). My organ teacher is teaching me about note grouping, as in the fast passage in the beginning of the toccata.
