The most common ways to spread glue onto your woodworking projects are with your index finger or a brush, but you may not know that you can also neatly spread glue with your old unwanted credit cards. Spike Carlsen teaches you how to make this simple tool using pinking shears to cut off the side of a credit card and use the serrated edge to spread the glue evenly onto any wood surface.

I use an extra bondo applicator, dried glue can be peeled off by bending it and peeling it off

Just one small detail.... Be sure the pinking shears you use are NOT your wife's sewing shears! They are expensive, and cutting plastic ruins the edge! The alternative is... DON'T GET CAUGHT! :)

I've dozens of those imitation credit cards companies send out as enticements to open an account. I've been using them as glue spreaders for years. They make good shim stock too.

I LOVE using my silicon brush. Also, you can just cut a piece of cardboard to spread glue. I've done that a lot.

I travel for my job quite a bit, I like to use the room card keys for doing glue ups and they don't have any credit information on them if they get left around, but good video...
