This modification also works on Wavefront's travel case theremin, as well as the Etherwave Standard. Not all theremins exhibit chirp on contact.

This is a slightly more professional looking remastered version of the antenna mod demo with explanitory text. I used nylon sleeving on both antennae to get rid of unwanted sounds when touching the volume antenna, and allowing for cool effects. Note, this works best with the Etherwave Standard. The Etherwave pro does not require these mods.

  • so this what they used to make cartoon noises in the 60's huh? haha

  • @SpencerM1A1 Yup. Theremins, slide whistles, rolled up news papers for that famous swat sound, bells, and other stuff which was also used to make those old radio show sound effects. :)

  • @FcBarcaman1193 You're more than welcome. :)

  • @ThomasGrillo Oh ok then , well if I want the jimmy page theramin sound I use the guitar amp , and yes I do wish to learn the classical way , oh ok then thank you very much ThomasGrillo I appreciate your help very much :)

  • @FcBarcaman1193 You can, and if you're just going for distortion effects, it's not as critical, but if you ever want to play melodicaly (like classical) where you might not want distortion, the guitar amp won't provide the best instrument reproduction at the speaker. There will be areas of pitch that sound a bit distorted. In that case, you want a keyboard rated amp.

  • @ThomasGrillo oh thank very much :D But is it true that the theramin can be connected to a guitar amp ? because my guitar amp has those necessary effects
