From The Jam, Rick Buckler, Bruce Foxton, Russell Hastings and Dave Moore perform The Gift @ The Cambridge Corn Exchange on Sunday 16th December 2007

THE GIFT

Move - move - I've got the gift of life
Can't you see it in the twinkle of my eye
I can't stand up and I can't sit down
I gotta keep movin' - I gotta keep movin'
All the time that gets wasted hating
Why don't you move together and make your heart feel better

Groove - groove - to the beat of this drum
Feel it in the wind and the warmth of the sun
Don't sit down and don't stand up
Keep on movin' - keep on movin'

Think of the future and make it grow
Why don't you move together an' make your heart feel better

Take a pinch of white and pinch of black
Mix it together and make a movin' flavour -

Take a pinch of white and pinch of black
Tell you move together an' make your heart feel better -

Move - move - we got the gift of life
Go and shout it from your roof mountain top
Give it to me once and give it to me twice
We gotta keep movin' - we gotta keep movin'!

  • Believe this or not, on my life, I was Christmas shopping in Cambridge and drinking in a pub 2 Minutes from the Corn Exchange and never even realised they were playing THAT NIGHT !!!...still I saw them 4 days later in London and they were fantastic !!!!! Check out my videos. Thank's for posting.

  • I was in a pub before hand two mins from venue - long shot but do you remember seeing my mate with Weller, Foxton & Buckler tattoos accross her back? I'll look for your vids as I was at The Forum too (and Brighton, Southampton, Oxford...)

  • thanks for posting these - the gig was superb, we're in the crowd shot somewhere!

  • Thanks, Look for That's Entertainment as I took a lot more shots of the crowd on that one (and a bit on In The Crowd too)

  • lol mad ♥ idiot.

  • Totally! even the up their nose bit is copied, I find it a bit boring to be honest and this came up when I typed in The Jam so ad to listen.

  • great thing is see bruce and rick loving every min of it and giving 100%

thats what its about giving the fans a great night out and have fun to

  • From The Jam have NOT put out a CD named 'Arse Crack' - and bruce is the business!

  • Name your favourite seIf penned hits by the dreadfuI Bruce Foxton?

  • the jam never really made it in america. so thats why. music doesnt revolve around your economic fuck up of a country.

  • Who are you calling wankers & who gives a f**k how many tickets they sold in America - (your figures are WRONG BTW!!)They sold plenty in America & Australia so they've got a great fan base in both continents & The Canadian gigs were packed - They are returning to The States and not to 400 people (TWAT) The Jam didn't care too much back in the day about breaking The States. FTJ are one gig a way from completing a very sucessful UK tour - stick with your MOR Bernie Eccleston lookalike.

  • They already have an albumn for release in 09.

NO - they aren't like they were with Weller - but then we are 27 years down the line and Bruce actually spent more time with SLF then he ever did with The Jam. And Jake Burns is a f+++kin GOD. as good as Weller and Strummer in terms of lyrics. If Bruce has picked up on just a small part of that then we have a goer!!

  • The pair of you clearly didn't go and see them on tour then.

I went... I was aprehensive, but being a massive Jam fan aged 21, means i never did get the chance to see the real thing.

They were bloody brilliant. Had such a great night. My mum also went with a few friends, and she has always been a massive fan. Lost count of the times she went to see them back in the day, went to the last gig at Brighton etc, and she wasnt sure, but decided to go and thought they were brilliant as well.

  • this is superb!!!!
