  • So, in some sense, Calvin and Luther objected to the use of the term "trinity" and/or certain underlying facets of its doctrine, but not necessarily the doctrine itself?

  • The left the dirty work up to us! Who wants to say Jesus was actually truly tempted and that he was purely and completely human to the negation of his deity and pre-existence. Who wants to be the one who tells everyone that God only kills the wicked for eternity, but doesn't torture them? This takes away most the motivation for most Christians to obey and love God. What happened to not rejoicing over even their death? They left us with the stuff nobody wants to hear!
