E3 09: Microsoft Project Natal HQ Trailer!

Introducing Microsoft's new Project Natal.
Where the only controller is you.

We all knew it was eventually coming, well here we finally go! The simple tagline explains it all, You are the controller! There will be a motion sensor camera that senses your every move, from driving to fighting. You will use your entire body to interact with the game with the use of full body motion capture. You can use your own gear to scan images, such as a skateboard that will be translated directly into the game.

This new feature will also include voice recognition, for areas such as game shows where you will be able to shout out the answers and the game will understand what you say.

The device is shown at the end of the trailer, pictures coming soon. I guess the motion sensor controller and the game was nothing but a rumor, but the motion sensor idea is indeed alive!

It is announced to be called Project Natal and will work with every Xbox 360 as well as being sold with Xbox 360s in the future.

Steven Spielberg comes on to talk about how this new technology will revolutionize gaming by allowing anybody to play video games by using your entire being instead of being hindered by a controller. Looks interesting indeed..

We all imagined how cool it would be if we could be characters in Mortal Kombat.. jump and kick around.. shit like that..

So many people are hateing on project natal when really they are just a bunch of immature ps fanboys it is NOT a remake of the Eyetoy the 2 barely have anything in common other than the fact that the eyetoy has motion recognition and thats it. now the PS Eye remake is more up to speed with Natal but still missing some features Project Natal will make every PS fanboy shit their pants and double over into the fetal position wishing they had a 360

This is just an attachment to the XBOX, so for the fun gamers, "or what i call fun gamers", they can buy this and play this way, but for the more serious gamers, you can continue playing the old way which is with a controller and no motion sensors.

Offcourse Natal is way better than the eyetoy and even the wii mote so there is no arguement in that.

This is not a new console, it just an attachment to the current console.

I understand you, and I partially agree with you. But if we think ahead, this invention leads to greater possibilities in the future, hell think of Holographic TVs .. now this invention would be great to use with that.. again its far in the future.. far...

but you have to start somewhere, and weather or not they succeed with this, it means they started.. and it can only go up from here..

Again, if were not happy, we can just use the controller.
