@vincesabin I don't live in Steamboat anymore, but if you keep a close eye out for gliders circling above Mt. Werner usually between 12-4pm there's a good chance they will land at whistler park. There are usually more pilots on the weekend too.

@airjunkieadam I was there all of last week. My house is right by Whistler Park. They flew 6 out of 7 days. I talked with one guy, and I think that he touched 16,000 feet! I figured out that if the wind is going north or south, they land at Whistler, but if the wind is coming out of the west, they land by Haymaker Golf Course...Is this true?

@vincesabin Yeah 16k+ is is definitely doable in Steamboat on a good day, that place has epic soaring! What they told you is true, they try not to land at whistler if it's strong west because the trees upwind by the creek can create some nasty air to land in. If the winds are switchy or light, there's a good chance they'll still land there.

change your title to 3000 feet , a launch at 9000 feet dos not show any gras or trees ....! The weird bump must be from the VG , nice landing !
