BF3 Co-Op Guns Part 2 - M412 REX (Tehran Highway Rush)

This is the first gun unlocked by playing the Co-Op missions (63,000 points). It is a revolver with a 6 bullet magazine. It is a counterpart to the .44 Magnum in-game, and, while lacking the .44's damage, has a higher rate of fire to make up for it. However, during my experience with the M412 REX, I find that its rate of fire is not high enough to counteract the 3 bullet kill at close ranges. And don't even try to snipe with this thing. It does all the way down to 15 damage at medium range. Overall, a disappointment. I haven't tried it with mainly hip fire. I feel it would be better used that way.

WORTH THE UNLOCK: No. Outclassed by nearly every other pistol when aimed down sights. But if you want an extremely close-quarters pistol, this might be good when fired from the hip.

@1Vortigern Herp, derp. This series is not about skill, it's about demonstrating a weapon gameplay.

This weapon is a good close range weapon especially if you tend to camp more but get ambushed at close rang. It's more effective when you know the enemy is nearby so you can ambush your attacker.

If you like to save up your ammo in close quarter situations I'd recommend using this to spray down an area in a hallway/room etc.

Snipers can use this when someone's encroaching on their position.

However if you do plan on long-range engagements you should probably get used to aiming up. Versatile

@1Vortigern Woah man the rex is not a bad gun. You can take three guys with it if youre accurate enough. Its basically a close encounter weapon that works well if you're a recon pitted against one or to guys in the You will miss with your rifle range. Honestly calling the rex a bad pistol is like calling the M230 grenade launcher a bad weapon. Sure they both have weaknesses but they both can get you a lot of kills consistently if you know when to use them.

I can just use the 1911 sup. but i'd rather use the REX just because i feel like a badass using a Revolver.

@Domidget I now prefer G17C. It has slightly better power then the M9/Grach and also comes with a internal laser.
