Great video. Thanks for posting. I used to drive these for EYMS. Smart looking buses and they sounded great! The Gardner engines always seemed to be working hard to get them moving!
Sounds like a rough hydracylic more than a wooing ZF but a gardner powered bus never made a ZF ecomat woo as the like of the horrid Cummins L10 (waiyling woo fest), Volvo THD or the engine out an an L94 bus. we had 30 with 6LXB engines in manchester and never noticed the ZF gearboxes wooing in the lot of them.
@bartonlane If it is Manchester you are after then the Universities will be starting back soon, usually an increase in services, however I think it is standard modern stock down that Magicbus corridor, and there is competition from other operators. It gets very congested but head out towards 'leafy' Didsbury, thats always a good run! Good luck!
@bartonlane When I went on Magic buses I went for the Olympaisn and Scanias, the route has 10 a penny so didn't need to consult a timetble. The ones in Liverpool ran about a 20 minute to half hour frequency, but have stopped now I think. I reckon the stagecoach website will have the info required, just have to navigate around it until you find the area you want, I see a bus I want and go for it basically lol!
@video47 Oh right ok thanks would like to see that, on an off topic note do you know how to find out about timetable for Stagecoach's Magic Bus operatations? I only ask because I know you have done videos on Magic Buses.
@bartonlane Rhyl and Prestatyn, I have aclip of them together in Prestatyn bus station that I can upload for you. The service frequency has now dropped to just one bus, so both don't run together.
