@Potomacstud To my knowledge that is not true. The real lady in the movie was a fan of John Denver's. But they were not written about her. They used his song's in the movie But they were not written about her. If you have any information to support your comment I would like to know where you read it. Thanks you.

Most of John Denver's songs for this movie was inspired from the writing in the diary or journal of this terminally ill lady

@stitchesful Her daughter's real name was Jennifer and she was called Jenny. I read that on Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush's site (actresses who played the part of Jill).

@jsbach15 Do you know anything else about her? I read the book by Norma Klein, but it doesn't provide any other information than her real name. I was wondering if there was any more information about her anywhere.
