With the profile complete, I start on the 2D pockets. Still using a 3/8" endmill, .1" DOC, 2000RPM and 14-18IPM.

I used V-Carve Pro 5.5 exclusively for the CAM work.

  • FIRST,.. I'd like to say,... cool video, do you have to register that with the ATF when you are done???

  • @DIECASTER Thanks, I would only have to register it with the ATF if I decided to make it into an SBR. I do plan to do an SBR eventually, but this one will a long barrel.

  • hey man, me and my dad we are building a CNC machine with low precision and i have a question, if i make a object on Solid Works and send to software of the cnc, in the time to cut the down side of the piece ,the machine will ask me to turn the piece ?

  • Thanks for posting the vids! What size of 7075 bar stock did you purchase to cut out the receiver?
