What is teamv?

teamv is a new programme designed to activate a network of young people leading social action campaigns across England. We're looking for passionate young people aged 18-25 to take three big social issues, translate them into exciting and innovative campaigns, and make real social change happen on the ground. v will give these leaders an inspiring package of training, tools and tactics to recruit their teams of volunteers, lead the campaigns, and measure their success. On completion of the programme, teamv leaders will be entitled to apply for a scholarship to support their onward progression.

What are the goals of the programme?

The programme aims to inspire and empower young people to be a positive force for social change. The programme will enable participants to:

1. Know and understand the communities within which they volunteer

2. Understand key social issues and identify creative local responses

3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals and groups

4. Research, plan, organise and evaluate their activities

5. Organise and manage financial and human resources

6. Learn new skills, reflect on personal development and community impact and support others to do the same

7. Promote and facilitate collective action to bring about positive change.
