Taiwanese Doctor Praises Divine Performing Arts

For our segment of Chinese culture today we go to Dr. Zhaorong Zhang, a well known gynaecologist and humanitarian. He is speaking highly of NTDs Divine Performing Arts. After watching the Divine Performing Arts show last year, Mr Zhang praises it as a high-level performance and is thrilled that it is coming to Taiwan on its world tour.
As a well-known gynecologist in Tainan City, Dr. Zhaorong Zhang has long showed concern for local issues like education, medical services and social benefits.

He donated money for the construction of two music museums in the area and had been awarded for his work in the community four times.

[Zhaorong Zhang, Doctor]: "My two children began to learn folk dancing when they were young. So, I am quite familiar with the dances like Dunhuang and flying maidens in Heaven. I like their music very much. The customs, dance, setting and music of the Divine Performing Arts are all of high-level. I think they will improve the cultural level of Taiwan. Their global tour helps westerners understand what Chinese traditional dance is about. I feel it is an opportunity to promote Chinese culture."

Dr. Zhang has always promoted good culture, music and arts, and now with the DPA shows coming in February, he says we should share it with our friends.

[Zhaorong Zhang, Doctor]: To let more people understand the shows, we need more people to help promote the show and sell tickets. Sometimes I buy more tickets to give to my good friends. We can all support it through different means.

I saw the show three days ago. It was good, they danced very well. But there were two things I didn't like: 1.: they mixed western and chinese musical instruments. its a question of taste, I would prefer chinese instruments only. 2.: I think the show showed too much about falun dafa. I went there to see traditional chinese dance and music and not falun dafa, with all due respect
