Rally at the United Nations Headquarters in New York to urge United Nation to pressure the Cambodian government to honor its commitment to the 1991 Paris Peace Agreement and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Cambodian government is systematically denying the democratic structure it agreed to in the UN-sponsored Paris Peace Agreement of 1991. We encourage the UN to revisit its commitment to the Paris Peace Agreement and to put the Cambodian government on notice that such abuses of power will not be tolerated by the international community.
Petitions to Secretary General of United Nations, Ban-Ki-Moon were hand delivered by Mr. Visal Ros to his office staff during a brief half hour meeting in United Nations Headquarters after the demonstration. Petition to Hun Sen were also hand delivered by Mr. Michael Doung at Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Nations in New York City.
