Standardbreds being underestimated TOO MUCH!!

Why do people underestimate standardbreds?


We get chances dont we!!

Why not give the standardbred another chance!!

they are just like other horses and can do every thing other horses can do but with a better personality and they can do comps better 100x better.

So dont underestimate standardbreds beleive in them.

I have 3 SBs and I personaly think they are the GREATEST! people underestimate them WAY WAY WAY to much they are just as good as any othe rhorse if not better just likr the miniature horses they have all the skills of bigger horses combined into one!!!!!!!!!

You are right, they are underestimated TOO MUCH, I have just recently been given three off the track, actually two trialled and never raced and one raced. One is 3 and two are 5. I am going to train them to saddle and rehome them. In years and years to come people will look back and shake their heads how such a reliable, quiet breed was just given away or sent to slaughter. They make much better riding horses than thoroughbreds once they are trained PROPERLY. Thanks for posting.

@Vs4lyfesV that is a MAJOR generalisation. Yes i have met some with good temprements but i have met a few that are very naughty. My friends rears bucks and bolts..

My standy is the best horse I have ever owned and I hate it when this particular girl at my school says they are bad :(

standys can do lots i rescue them and make tham into what they can be if you give them a chance.

i was at a show and i was riding little black and shes my standy and i herd this girl say eww look at that what is it oh its a standy all there good at is racing and falling on there faces and when i got first and she placed 6 th she came up to me and appologised and i said good you should there not just for racing they just lke any othere horse.

It's true my SB is calm, and steady other than the TB we have who is very energetic and used to race. Although I don't know the true use of my horse, the only info I got was that he was a teaser, and was also poorly gelded before we got him and alittle underweight. He also sufferred from mange and is prone to a dry dock (he wears out the dock of his tail, I usually wash it out and one time dabbed it with lavender-which seemed to work) but bounced back beautifully! A very trusting horse.

standard breds are cool even though they are bred for cart they still don't ave to be used for that they have an amazing jimping and good dressarge DON'T DIS!

I bought my first standardbred and I must be honest, they are a breed I had never thought about, Dell is now 4 and the best horse I have ever owned.....they are extremely underestimated, fabulous horses
