@jaxlevitan Um you obviously don't know what her voice sounds like. I agree this isn't the greatest cover but that is just what her voice sounds like.

This would have been much better if she had just done a complete piano cover. She has a beautiful voice, and is an incredibly talented artist, but she just isn't the same without her piano. She even looks a bit awkward sitting there, doing nothing.
A swing and a miss, Ms. Carlton. Better luck next time.

I thought it was sweet, but not as powerful as marcus singing it with mumford and sons. She does have a wonderful voice but I don't think this song was at all good for her voice...

i know covers aren't supposed to be the same as the original, but omg, she totally butchered this song. im a singer, so i know when somebody's voice is nasal and off, and hers was. sorry guys, but thats my opinion.

I love Vanessa. I like this cover. It's not suppose to sound exactly like the song, this is why it's a cover.

I don't love this because it just isn't as strong as the original BUT she channels a really nice stevie nicks vibe and if I hadn't ever heard mumford I would probably love this a bit more.

vanessa's voice is wonderful but i did not like this cover very much. she didn't flow very well. i don't know how this could bring anyone to tears as it is not very emotional..
