A quick talk I gave at PLU's For The King worship night. The night centered around identity, and so my talk is about how are true identity really has nothing to do with us at all. We instead buy the lie though that certain things will bring us more joy and so I named 3 common areas we put our identity outside of Jesus. Our identity in Him though is final and finished, because His work is final and finished. We have a rock solid hope and identity because it has nothing to do with us. We are children of the King.

  • The bible tells us to be righteous and follow Christ, spread the word of God, teach the ones who are lost and lead them the right way like Jesus did. Basically to be like Christ, which means to be a Christian (Christ like). Christianity is a religion.. Religion - the belief & worship of a higher power (God).. so to write and make a video 'I hate religion but I love Jesus' doesn't make sense. I understand some wrongs in the church but doesn't mean every church or religion is like that. God bless!

  • Im so happy I got to meet you =) your amazingggg!

Your an inspiration, a breath of fresh air. Thank you and God Bless <3

  • Your amazing...GODBLESS.

  • i first saw your video at a youth stay awake i was invited to. and now i cant get enough of these videos. i love them, i think it is true. i showed my mom these videos and she agrees. i totally do, you inspired me, what is religion? you know i thank you for opening my eyes to a new world i never saw before, a world i was blind too. everyone i see i tell them bout your videos. thank you for making a differnce. those people who automatically dislike it. think about it.

  • He would make a good teacher somehow.

  • @jeffdell91 I will tell you what I think. I think they are people just like you and me. I think that just like me, they sin. I think that God sent his son to die on the cross for them. I think that God loves them just as much as he loves you and me. And I love them just as much as I love my best friend.

  • @randommmetalhead The Bible tells us that it is not the good things that we do that make us able to be saved, but rather Gods grace through our faith. Yet at the same time, if your actions do not reflect your faith, how much does that faith really mean? God loves you and he wants you to be part of his family. He wants you in his family so much he paid for you with his sons life. How much does a very short life of pleasure matter compared to eternity in heaven with God?

  • @randommmetalhead Jesus died on the cross to pay our debt for us. If we accept him as our savior, we are washed clean and are worthy to spend eternity with God. this does not remove our sin but rather because of the sacrifice Christ made,God sees Christ in us. we accept that sacrifice,we can be washed clean but that doesnt mean we won't sin, true you could choose to live a complete dirty life, and reject Christ, but you have heard this message, my friend the choice is yours.

  • @yaterodst So, because we can't ever be worthy of God, then there's no point in trying to be good. Might as well just live a sinful life, as long as you accept Jesus you'll still go to heaven. You could be the kindest, most selfless, and nicest person on the planet, but it'll make no difference in the long run, so might as well be an evil scumbag because you'll still be "unworthy" either way. That's what makes Christianity so great? As long as you accept Jesus it doesn't matter what you do?

  • @jeffdell91 god loves the sinner but hates the sin, so much that he died to get rid of it forever so he could have just us - broken people. homosexual acts are just the same as other sexual sin, but all sin separates us from god. degrees of "bad" or "good" are pointless, because we're all bad enough that without jesus, we couldn't reach god.
