i'am watching this on tv right now pretty good effects for a 50's film i heard eddie murphy was posed to be in a remake of this some time ago

They have been said to be doing a sequel for the past 10 yrs but it keeps getting pushed back. Yes Murphy was supposed to star in it and one rumor had it he would be a magician who shrinks all at once. May get made someday.

Must say, I'm amazed by the "performance" of the cat. The bio on "Butch" sez his real name was "Orangey" and he won 2 "Patsy" animal awards for this film and as Audrey Hepburn's nameless "cat" in "Breakfast at Tiffanys". He was trained by the same fellow who gave personality to Arnold the Pig in "Green Acres".(How the hell do you train a cat to give better performances than Leo DiCaprio?!!)
