  • Here's a tip. Don't try to listen to Shostakovich and do homework at the same time. I looked down at my paper and had written less than one sentence... How am I supposed to pay attention to schoolwork when there's such amazing music going on? D:

  • For sure i prefer Russian XXth music, not Tchaikovsky as everybody...Shostakovich is awesome! and this concert is powerful, just brilliant!

  • I'm watching this like "AWWWWWW YEAAAAHH"

  • @iwuvsweeney I was just trying to do that, impossible xD. Amazing piece!

  • Andophonic, OisirM... you both make excellent points, but for me the most orgasmic moment of this movement was that magnificent pause at 4:45

  • I really don't understand why I listened to this music at 3am in the morning and reading his memoir at the same time.

  • ahhh so beautiful. such a genius. he knew just what notes to play to pluck those emotions.... 1:15- 2:00 is just...

  • @Andophonic I could successfully argue that the whole piece is a musical orgasm. That horn dischord though... such a strange but effective touch.

  • 4:25 is a musical orgasm :D

  • @NumptyNose yeah! it is so important play in the right speed in Shostakovich`s music!

  • @harrietamidala1691 sure - though - not the same recording - at the Fantasy movie, it's been played by Israeli Pianist Yefim Bronfman
