Émile the happy Betta

after a week here and 2 minor water change, he still looks very happy. I had to change the setup of the plants, the big leafy ones seems harder to keep than the others... Anyway, I'm happy of how things are going so far, I'm thinking of putting 'false neons' or other easygoing small tetras or danios in there... should I? Or Émile would have his fins bitten to the core with these fish? I don't think they'd fit a betta's mouth but... Anyway, anyone tried to mix both of these fish species with success?
