The best Ford`s film ever, Magnificent Blade Runner!!, Great Rutger Hauer performance, and extraordinary music by Vangelis and Ridley Scott film.

This was the ending I saw back in the eighties...
Some people still like more the narrated version than the final cut. I like them both.

I've seen three different versions of the line "Time to die" .. one when he doesnt deliver the line one when it cuts away to Deckard as he says it and one when Roy is seen saying the line. I prefer the version when Roy delivers the line.

I agree, his acting was perfect for the role IMO. It's just the narration that annoys me, it seems tacky. His dead-pan was great in the scenes where he was actually there interacting on set though.

@AnotherSchmoe i have only seen the final cut because i did not want the first person narration. its there because the studio thought people wouldn't understand the film.

I loved the final cut, but this version has a special spot in my heart. I was 13 the first time I saw it, and some of the subtle parts were a little over my head. I remember being sad when Roy died, and then the voiceover brought the whole moment home like a baseball bat hitting my head...
