I think you should give him a treat to encourage him to sing more and to sing the complete song. Birds are like us they like encouragement, so I think it is kind of cruel to eat the popcorn without sharing one with him.

@freelancelady, Thanks for your concern...Your comment does not make sense because the entire video showcases the fact that when presented with opportunities to eat popcorn, Beacon sings to it rather than bite it. Beacon is given loads of treats, attention, toys and rewards. More than most children living here in America. Please know the facts before you accuse me of cruelty towards my animal

I could hold pretzels and popcorn in front of him all day and he would rather sing than eat it. He prefers bird food and fruits and vegetables. What is funny, is that when any food is put in front of him, he starts to sing. He had plenty of opportunities to take a bite, but as you see, he never does. But thanks for your concern.

i love how he doesnt even take the popcorn. whenever i have a bag of popcorn near me my bird will try and crawl inside the bag :)

@sahree I agree. To me it looks like the popcorn is held very close to the cockatiel's beak. It's not like you're snatching it away if he was trying to eat it. If it had wanted to eat the popcorn, it would have gone after it. Don't let the negative comments bother you. Your bird looks like you take very good care of it.

omg he's so cute! but i just wanted to tell u, in case u didn't know, it's better to give them plain popcorn with nothing on it,rather than the ones with butter and salt. and how long did it take u to teach him the march?
