(Since this game has lots of pixel art, it looks kinda weird on youtube...but bear with me.)
Here's a little gameplay demonstration of the scripting/conversation system for the prequel to The Company of Myself. I'm controlling Kathryn, the girl wearing the pink. The other character is fully controlled by the game.
This level IS NOT going to be included in the final game (as it is only a quick test), but some form of this conversation might stay in if people think it's cute.
A neat aspect of this game's scripting system is that the scripts I write for it look a lot like theatric scripts. For instance, this is part of the script that I fed to the game engine to make the scene in the video:
Kathryn: ...
Kathryn: So we're standing on the desk?
Jack: Yup. Isn't it fun?
Kathryn: ...Fun? I don't know.
Jack: Hmm.
(Jack moves to theDresser)
Jack: Follow me.
Kathryn: ...
The game triggers different parts of the script at certain times, like when characters reach specified locations. These locations can be any size or shape and can be given names, like "theDresser" in this case.
In the end, the big point is that all of this makes it very easy (and more importantly, fast) for me to write cool gameplay content for you guys.
The game should be finished at around the beginning of January--keep your eyes peeled!
Has this game been released yet? I would love to play it. If it is out, where can I go to play it?

@ellmoe2010 Nope, the game isn't done quite yet, but we're hoping to finish around the end of the month. This video was posted before any of the game's actual levels had been designed, but as of now, there are 33 out of 40 levels in at least a rough draft state.
