Still the best ever computer game. For sure there are games that have way better graphics etc, but the game had everything. You could trade, you could be bad, you could be a bounty hunter, you could trade illegal products, you could shot vipers (police) or you could be squeaky clean. All of which altered the way the game played. None of which was a 'right' way to play it - there was no right way - brilliant. Tanks David & Ian for being part of my childhood. PS I was Elite - eventually!

Still one of the best computer games EVER!
Played it MONTHS and MONTHS (a little bit everyday, sometimes more than a little bit)... Until reaching Elite status. For many times over I wished I could "loose" myself on that universe and escape this one.
ELITE was, truly, the cream of the cream, so far ahead of the competition at the time that there was simply nothing to compare it with, It would be like comparing warp drive with chemical rocket engines...
Miss those days... a lot.
