Remove Rip Off Report Complaints from Search Engines

Over the past couple of weeks our reputation management company (ReputationArmor.com) has received over 100 calls from folks and businesses that find themselves listed on the quick growing consumer complaint portal RipOffReport.com. They want aid to remove ripoff report complaints. The chief concern callers have is that it is so simple for a prospective client to find a ripoff report complaint. Google and other search engines (Especially Google), indexes Ripoff Report Complaints quickly and feverishly, and nearly all of the time a ripoff report complaint with your company name or name in the title will essentially rank higher than a number of companies own websites.

Imagine searching Google using your company name and the first thing you observe at the top of the search results is a BIG FAT RIP OFF REPORT about your business there. That is precisely what happens to the majority of the companies that get a ripoffreport complaint. Some people tell us they find out they have the complaint from existing and potential clients. What a nightmare it must be for a potential customer to back out of a business transaction because of an unjust ripoff report complaint!

@BlackBebop187 Does that mean that every rep is trash? no,but one bad puts all the rest up for consideration. The cure is changing the CDA of 1996. It was written with too broad of a stroke. Making ppl have to put their real names on their posts, along with their home addresses and ip addys. Then the reports would be credible. If you can hide, you can try to hurt someone you hate or whose bus you want to take away.

@BlackBebop187 Does the concept of those hundreds of reports possibly being from one person scare you at all? Have you ever been able to pull up a report of Ed, or rip off report , or any of the attorneys or business associates of them? No. It is not ran the way the CDA dictates first off. There have been name changes on reports of "friends", and there if you use them to determine if a business is credible, you have missed the mark. One person can put 100's of reports using diff names

Seems you know a lotta statics on Ed Magedson. I would every so often go to his site just to look up a certain business, home wise that is. And I would find hundreds of posts convicting that one business. And I'd do it to keep from getting myself screwed outta my hard earned cash. Cuz there is a number of existing business scams. Now you say ROR is filth. This is totally preposterous!

Not to say I don't believe you. But if ROR only carries disease, then who the hell carries the damn cure???

No, I am not listed in there as any such sex offender, that is just an example of what some ppl are dealing with. That is beside the point Vancouver...your name is listed that way forever, you have kids, a wife, a boss. Ppl in your community see this. You can be innocent, charged with a crime, found innocent but you are Never looked at the same. It ruins your life, well, th is is similar. And if you put a rebuttal in those reports, it stays on page one in Google forever. It hurts you.

So you think that the woman who pretended to be a teenage boy and messed with the young lady and humiliated her was ok because well, she could? See, a whistle blower is a totally different animal. They blow a whistle, one whistle. It gets investigaged, if true someone goes down. This is not even the same. We are talking about the CDA which would apply to the internet laws. regardless where you were. As an Amer. Cit., I could take it to task were they written correctly, have it removed.

now, what about the BBB? This actually happened. A legitimate rep is filed there. The comp has a chance to respond. Your name does not show to the pub. The Comp makes it right or gets a mark. If it is pay, you take it to the labor bd, get paid. But NEVER does the owner of a bd. say, "here, let me get you kids together for $5000 & help you play nice" & STILL leave the rep on the site. NEVER. But at the BBB? you see the results, you make a decision. It is fixed, it is gold. You don't pay ED.

The Straw Man Arg. has nothing to do with this. These are rept. perporting to be distinct indiv. all having something to say about you or a business, but they are all the same person. As such, 10-20 of these carry a lot of weight. Let's say you are looking for someone to hand out fliers for you at a local event and you google a co that wks nationwide and you see 100 commts on ROR. "never gt pd" "showed up-nowk" "job was not wht I was told" "Co Is A Scam". trust me, you would pass them by.

I know of one company that hired a person.Had to let them go.Was stalked.Had to get a court order. This was a successful Co for over 10 yrs. Worked nationwide. The exemp found ROR. Has place over 100 reports on the company, all lies. Do you know all you need to place a report is an email addy that they can send a verification back to? The company finally had to close. They spent over 100.000.00 trying to fight this. All gone over ROR.

But YOU, John, are a blight in your community. If you are a father, word gets around. Trust me. Children will stop playing with yours. I know of indiv. who have spent literally 100's of 1000's of dollars and gotten nowhere. But they are businesses. And they are now bankrupt. Their names are ruined. more on that

He starts by placing a rebuttal on ROR and his friends stand up for him and do the same. What happens then is that his report stays on page one forever. Those rebuttals create the mega report. If no one responds, it may fall away to lesser pages, but the more rebuttals that are there, the worse for John. But, John is told when he contacts ROR, your recourse is the rebuttal option. See, this puts them on Googles firing line, more hits,good for them, good for Google. Eff John.
