And whomever tries to link Islamic radicals with drug dealers has obviously no idea of religions. Islamic radicals won't befriend Mexican drug dealers who worship the "saint death", or even Catholic drug dealers (because even by some Protestant standards, Catholicism contains idolatry). There would be so few things in common among those two groups, and they can't coexist for long, if said thing happened.

I don't get the whole importance race is given to in the US.

I mean, even Mexico, with an exaggeratedly racist social sistem during the colonial times, focuses not an inch nowadays on "race". We know we're a lot of races mixed, and that's it. Move on to more important subjects, and now our economy is stronger than the US's is, in spite of a bloody and seemingly endless war fueled by the money from 30,000,000 US drug consumers and weapons from the DEA...
