Instead of using the included rubber grommets to protect the cable connection from the weather, you can instead use Coax-Seal. We show you how to wrap it around the connector without causing connection problems. You can visit www.ccrane.com/us3 for antenna, or www.ccrane.com/coax-seal for the coax-seal.

  • Radio shack rep told me this also repeats the signal. Doesn't seem to.. Can someone confirm/ deny? Thanks.

  • This antenna can repeat a signal but you will need to be using Windows 7 and have the software utility installed. Right click on the small icon in the tray at the bottom of your screen and choose STA + AP mode. You will get a little screen the lets you choose two items. Use the scrollbar arrows on the side of the first item to select the device listed as "802.11n…" The second item should be the "Microsoft Virtual..." then click "OK". You can now setup your wifi access point as a repeater.

  • Nope, won't work on a PS3. You need to be able to install the driver software, and a PS3 won't allow that.

  • ...doesn't work with PS3 but you can make you wifi signal stronger to the PS3 when using it with a computer as a repeater. Then your PS3 will get more signal to the built in wifi. See directions about how to do this in the reply to the comment above.

...this method also helps improve wifi on XBox, smartphones, and tablets.

  • will this work with ubuntu 11.10??

  • I have a question about this antenna I bought it a couple day ago and it connects to the unsecured WiFi spots but it's having a hard time identifying the network so it won't let me go on the internet. It keeps saying that it can't connect to the network, because it doesn;t have a valid IP configuration. Can anyone help me with this

  • Thanks for the reply. Love the product can't wait to get windows 7!

  • See reply to comment above.

  • i used to live in ferndale when that naval facility was open at centreville beach in 1986-87 and we never had 1 lightning storm. very unusual but i wouldn't put that thing on my roof now that i live on the east coast especially in the summer with its frequent thunderstorms

  • This looks like a real good product, can't wait to get one.
