In "Kwa Asilia Avita Sanaa" Grandmaster Rogers teaches what we call (Kisu Na Fimbo) African American knife & stick fighting. Which is based on the very basic Filipino Martial Arts taught to him by Dan Inosanto, Ted Lucay Lucay & Cass Magda at a seminar put on by Grandmaster Anthony Davis in 1983. This style in Kwa Asilia Avita Sanaa represents a tribute to the African American Machete used as a tool to cut suger cane and as a weapon for the purpose of freedom fighting during the Afrikan Holocaust of Enslavement. http://www.africanmartialarts.8m.com http://www.facebook.com/africanamericanshadowboxing

  • @ogtribalpinoy There is no thievery. It was taught to him by Dan Inosanto. He created his own style from Inosanto's teaching.

  • This must be a trend, Afrikan Americans learning Kali (Filipino Martial Arts), and learning it badly, and calling it theirs. STOP THE THIEVERY!!

  • In all due respect, if you are unarmed and attack a knife wielding opponent with a reverse punch, then you're asking to be stabbed. It's the absurdity of the way the demo is set up that bothers me the most. In F M A, the attacks, even for demos, have realistic speed, focus, and intent behind them. Doing this posed stuff develops a false sense if security and poor reaction time in a real encounter.

  • I'm African American, haves studied a variety if arts, and agree this looks like Filipino Martial Arts with an African Shirt on. How does that mae it "African martial arts? " because African Americans are doing it?

  • I ain't trying to hate, but who attacks a guy with a long stick empty handed with karate style reverse punches. I realize this is an old school demo, but even for a demo, some practicality needs to be emphasized

  • that martial art is uneffective :

  • @DarumaXIV

Give the guy a break, after all he learned everything from a seminar back in 83, says so in the description:-) He's one them seminar instructors.

  • @Panzon300 Good points..This whole thing is very sloppy.

  • wow...A (very sloppy) combination of arnis, silat, police baton, done with a dashiki on....to make it, "african-american"..wtfe. Cass should come down and fuck you up.

  • white dude in black gui is dying!!! D:
