Eating sushi at the counter in front of sushi chef can be a little intimidating. If you know these rules, there is nothing to be afraid of. First of all, you do not want to put the right side of sushi in to the soy sauce. If you want extra Wasabi, what you can do instead of putting a Wasabi straight into soy sauce, you can just take a little Wasabi like this and then put it on top of the fish. You can either grab it with your hand or you can use chop sticks of course and, just take the sushi like this and dip the fish side down like so. Bon Appetite!

Apart from the 'do not offend the chef' thing, I think it's mostly about not dipping the rice ball into the soya, because if you do that, it'll fall apart.

@cspark809 I don't really care how anyone eats there food whatever it is but there is only 3 things I see that piss me off. People who drown their sushi in soy sauce (someone I knew did that, I was just like "mmmm tastes like salt." even stupider was they looked up at me confused.), people who eat sushi with a fork and knife, and on an unrelated note people who eat pizza with a fork and knife.
