Who the hell are these ignorant men speaking?

If someone proved Islam or Buddhism to me, or any religion, I'd follow that religion to get a good standing for eternity.
No one says: "Sure, I know I'll burn in hell, but hey, at least I'll feel good for this short, blink of an eye." If one is totally selfish, not caring about anyone, wanting to maximize selfish pleasure, they'd do what they had to to get it in heaven.
Your hypothesis is ridiculous BS.

That's like saying I'm going to choose to believe that my rent isn't due at the end of the month and that food doesn't cost money because it would interfere with me not want to work.
That makes no sense. I couldn't possibly get myself to believe that. The evidence is clearly in that the rent is due, and that food costs money.

For instance, how could anyone have known that after Israel would be reformed as a nation, Iran (Persia) would become allied with Russia (never happened before). Israel could have ended up allied with Russia. Or that "Jerusalem" would be a "burden" for all nations at the same time (Zech. 12:1-3). Jesus said all these end time prophesies would all be happening at the same time - "When ye shall see all these things , know that it is near.." (Mt. 24:33). Jesus response to end of world in Mt.24:3

Proof of God = 100% fulfilled prophesy Is. 41:21-23. After Israel reformed as a nation, Iran (Persia) allies with Russia and Libya (north Africa) against Israel-(Ezek. 38 & 39) At same time Jesus gospel to go throughout earth (Mt24:14), many shall come saying they are Christ {consciousness}(Mt.24:5 (Oprah & New Agers, Hindus, etc.), all flesh able to become extinct (Mt.24:22), knowledge to increase(Daniel 12:4) yet sin shall abound Mt24:12 All to occur at once+ Visit website in our videos.
The "rebel" theory as to why scientists don't believe in creationism doesn't work. If creationism were obvious, a person would be more likely to be a Christian as a scientist rather than atheist, but we see the opposite trend.
The higher the IQ, the more unreligious. Being a doctor means you're less likely to be a Christian.
Also, many Christians accept evolution. Does the "rebellious" hypothesis cover them as well?

Many live in a state of "denial' because they do not wish to see reality as it truly is. Said Aldous Huxley, author of "Brave New World": " I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning; consequently assumed it had none, and was able without any difficulty to find satisfying reasons for this assumption...We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom" Vol.3 June 1966 p.19 Report: Perspective On the news, Helming Confession of a Proffessed Atheist-Huxley

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1;20,21

I have followed the debate about Expelled, I was amused to hear Richard Dawkins talking about his friend who appears in the movie - he was expelled from a viewing of the movie!
I'm afraid I don't buy the whole peer review process is rigged idea, I don't buy that creationism/intelligent design has any academic credibility - the evidence points to a universe far stranger than you me or your theology ever bargained for.
I don't say there is no ID - just that so far the evidence is very very thin.

I once believed what I was taught, that an incredibly complex code (or language) like DNA could arise randomly by chance. I now think that's a miracle beyond belief. Every code we know of, just a very simple one, requires intelligence. A code is information. Could "War & Peace" arise randomly over time? You have every right to believe that it can arise randomly over time. I now think it's a fairytale. 99.99% of mutations are deleterious. They can only lead to extinction not "upward" evolution.
