Chef Jason Hill of CookingSessions.com shows you how to make snow ice cream in this episode of "Chef Tips."

This snow ice cream recipe is a treat the kids are sure to love. In fact, it's the best snow ice cream recipes we've tried.

To make chocolate snow ice cream, substitute chocolate milk for the milk. This easy snow ice cream uses 16 cups of fresh snow, but you can also use shaved ice. Homemade snow ice cream is not gourmet by any means, but it's a fun activity for the kids.

To make snow ice cream, simply add 1 cup of half and half or milk, 1 cup of white sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract to your gallon of fresh snow. In a pinch, you can substitute 28 ounces (2 cans) of sweetened condensed milk in place of the milk and sugar when making snow ice cream.

Here in Sweden it is a common misconception that you get worms if you eat snow.

I don't really get the logic in it but I guess someone accidentally got worms inside their body and then they decided that spreading this myth would be a good idea..

  • @ChefTips the chips look like bugs :D
