  • @PeopleR2sensitive im waiting patiently, especially since it's supposed to be entirely different.

  • Evangelion messed me up, I find myself thinking like this a lot.

  • @Payka92 The story has also been changed in interesting ways. The first movie is more like the original, but at the second, it diverges.

  • @Payka92 In any case, I recommend if you haven't seen them already, the new Rebuild series of Evangelion. Anno is rebooting it as four movies (two of which are already out), and has said he's making an effort for them to be more accessible to general audiences. He obviously has seen that he's been too subtle for all the fans to appreciate. (The manga has been more upfront too since it was published later, and less rushed. Kaoru is around for like 3 whole volumes.)

  • @Payka92 Ok, but I disagree with your last sentence. The philosophy is embedded in the entire series from start to finish, and while some people don't get it and pretend they do, there are more-so than not who do appreciate it and aren't faking. I don't like all these accusations of disingeniousness. I think it's great for someone to read something like a Catcher in the Rye and walk away with more than they started. Some people just don't see eye-to-eye with the author.

  • @Payka92 The whole purpose of this series was so that the author could share what he had learnt during his recovery from a very bad case of depression with otaku shut-ins like he used to be.

  • I wonder why kaworu didn't talk

  • This ending isn't bad, you can obviously see that hard work was put into this, but, EoE was a much better ending; visually and content wise. Now I just hope 4.44 does an even better job at ending this.

  • I always supported that the last 2 episodes should be part of a subject in Universities!

  • Congradufuckinlations! best ending to an anime evar.
