Dad Came here to live with us in September 2008
He is still here, and will be for 5 more months.
Although he has been getting progressively worse with his Dementia Lewy Body disease, he still has many good days. He cant always " say what he needs to say" but I know he knows he is Loved & Safe with us!

  • Thank you for sharing this video of you and your family, My dad right now is going through lews bodies, and it's is very tough to see him go through the stages of LBD, you know, all your life you think the your father is the strongest person in the world and to see him going through LBS knowing there is nothing you can do to stop it, it's tough and i cry alot, everytime i see him i tell him how much i love him. I know i have to be strong for my mom they have been married now for 57 year's.

God Bless You all, Take every moment you have with your Dad, and rlelish it! Even in what I thought were the really toughest times, they seemed to be good , looking back on them. It was really tough caring for my Dad before we had to put him in the memory care in MN, but that year he lived with us-- some of the best memories I have of him now.-- You can still give him alll the dignity he deserves until his dying day! Bless you all --- God will, for taking care of him!

  • Just lost my dad today to this dreadfull disease after an 8 years battle RIP papa

God Bless you & your family

I still miss my dad so much-- I look back at my own videos just to see him-- funny how there were times when I thought he was getting so bad, and then comparing the last days-- he looked pretty good! BUT-- horrible disease, we donated his brain to Mayo clinic in Florida, where they have extensive studies going on regarding Dementia Lewy Bodies-- Hope they find a cure! God BLess!

  • Dad, it was good to spend a couple days with you last month. I am sorry that you can't say a lot anymore. I know you appreciated me being there with you, you showed me it in your smile when you saw me!

  • We love you dad..it was great to see you again. WE MISS YOU! I was glad we were able to tell you how much we love you! I know you wanted to tell us the same with that gentle pat of approval! WE LOVE YOU!
