In 1999, a label in Japan (Captain Trip I think) re-released a compilation of long out-of-print The Mad singles, remastered and finally on CD.
In celebration, Screaming Mad George and an updated Mad (Mad 2000) did some shows in Japan during the Winter of 2000. Many of these songs George hadn't performed in 20 years or more.
