Maybe the next time I hit someone with a neutral air fast-falling while moving backwards without having my opponent DI I'll try this.

Someday, if you ever learn how to play aggressively and approach the opponent with more than just Bair spam, you'll see just how often such a situation arises. Even if the setup doesn't lead into a rest, depending on certain factors, it can still lead into a half-dozen other options (Fsmash, dashattack, grab, Fair WoP, Upsmash are all rewarded equally often).

This combo won't work on Magus' SDI. It just won't.

The sound gets so progressively out of sync to the point where I'm more focused on the audio than the combo demonstration xD

Its still somewhat in context since this video is about Melee and the user who posted it obviously knew that it was out of place but still technically making sense
