  • Kind of a wooden performance........looks like they are just standing there and not moving around very much to me. John doesnt even appear to be strumming guitar. Sounds pretty good though.......

  • I cant beleive they never filmed this event..Anyone know if there is film footage of this legendary show in existance?..If there is I've never seen it

  • yes. there is actually about 11 minutes of footage, its quiet however, but the stupid bitch that downloaded her film from that even will not allow it to be embedded, in other words you cant repost it.

  • @brookdalebill Yeah Dee Murray. The genius from Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album (and more) . Listen to Love Lies Bleeding with headphones. Listen to that Jazz Bass through a Pignose amp, baby! Yeah!

  • It is literally impossible to find actual footage of this concert. All of the videos are just pictures with audio. I mean, come on, this is Elton John and John Lennon, the fact that the two legends are actually playing together in concert is amazing. Did nobody take a video? If anybody knows where I can find a video, please reply.

  • @717021 Hahah. Nice one.

  • @brookdalebill Thank you for saying this, otherwise I would have. Dee Murray, never heard of him though. But whoever this is, thumbs up!

  • @parablearable Yes, the live performance is a bit faster than the original recording. That was probably the only real failing of Elton John's band during the early/mid 70s. They had a tendency to play everything at a quicker tempo during live shows. No wonder Elton decided to change the lineup in 1975.

  • @smasherhits There was footage on youtube but the big boys had it taken down.

  • @smasherhits I knew about it right afterwards but no one knew John was going to show up except for Elton because they had a bet about that song. The bet was Elton said it would go to #1 and if it did John had to show up at one of Elton's concerts.

  • Brilliant bass playing, was it Dee Murray?

  • the tempo is a tiny tad where it would be if they were " getting " through the night. i wonder .......does this seem a little bit faster than normal? great stuff thax 4 the upload.
